Pictured: The Stewardess · $298 Mid-century, made.
Solid hardwood, real brass, dimmable Edison bulbs.
One piece at a time, in a shop full of sawdust.
I. The first lamp
I started building because
I couldn't find one I liked.
Everything was either mass-produced and forgettable, or handmade and overpriced. So I walked into my shop in Oak Cliff, grabbed some oak and brass, and built my own.
That was the first one. Now I can't stop.
II. The collection
Pieces, named one by one.
III. The shop
"I build things I'd want in my own home. If it wouldn't pass that test, it doesn't leave the shop."
— Erick Johnson, Designer & Woodworker
A look inside the shop IV. Custom commissions
Different wood. A specific finish.
A size that fits your space.
That's my favorite part of the work. Restaurants, hotel lobbies, home staging, one-off pieces for a particular room — message me and we'll build it together.
